Back at Her Best...

Man has it been ages since I made a blog posting! For starters, I now have my own laptop and that makes me so happy because, not only is it small and travel friendly, it's.....PINK!!!! I have taken to giving it a name and a sex(hahaha). So, I am now typing this post on "Marshmellow". I recently began the second semester of my College courses, and boy is that not easy, but I have always loved school. I took the first picture earlier this year. Man do I miss that color.
I think that is the lightest my hair has ever been colored, lol. The second picture is of a recent tattoo that I got back in September. It says "Love is where you shall find me". I love many languages and decided to get half tattooed in Italian, and the other half in french. Those besides arabic, spanish, greek, and Japanese, are my favorite languages. I thought for that tattoo I would do something different and I love the end result!
This is my 3rd tat and I plan on getting either 1 or 2 more and then that's it for me! It was actually kind of funny when I went to get this one done because, It barely hurt me. I ended up dozing off and being woken up when the artist was done and didn't even realize I fell asleep! The only thing I hate about tat's is when they have to go in and fill it with color...man does that hurt like an "Em-Effer!!!". I got this one on the left side of my back. It seems to be a theme for me to get every tat on my left side which is kind of cool actually.
I am really looking forward to the new year and what it has in store for me. My main goal above everything(since I don't make resolutions because I suck at keeping them) is just to be happy and grow more as a person. I really enjoyed my summer of 2009. I made so many new and interesting friends, got in touch with long lost ones(through facebook) and spent time with the ones I love dearly that I don't get to see that often these days.
Parties were left, right and center and that is always a wild adventure. So many of my favorite music artists released some great alblums this year and some came out their face walking up on a stage talking about another young artist not being worthy of getting an award that she ended up winning *coughs Kanye West*......
Until Next Time......

The Jackson Reign

Jackson 09
Jackson 09 by Brisce featuring Miu Miu

I was watching a taped episode of Oprah and she was discusisng her memories of the late and great Michael Jackson, and I was inspired to create this. I want all of these outfits. Michael would be proud of the way I took some his most classic pieces and gave them an 09 spin on things. As I am writing this, "Bad" is playing in the background. My personal favorite era of Mj is the Bad Alblum era, Ever since I was a kid I have always wanted to dress like him in the video bad. The leather attire is just great in that video. These simple looks once looked at by the public as "freaky and Wacko Jakco" are now Eternally Iconic pieces.

Rock N' Royalty

When Talking to my friend Sharell on aim, my mom was passing by the living room when she said to me "You know Brisce, Zoe Kravitz reminds me so much of you. I think she may very well be your sister!" I couldn't agree more with her. haha..For one I love her and her style and we are both of the same free spirited bohemian thread, weaved by our parents. Then I started to think about all of the cool rock musicians I look up to and thought about all of their daughters. So here is to them. May all of you rock on.

A New Crave

I actually really like this look on Solange. This is a great all year round trend. I'm all for short hair since i went short this summer. I was even thinking about cutting my hair shorter like the katie holmes picture, and adding highlights.

have a restful day all,

He was Bitten By The Love Bug

Kevin surprised Danielle at her home in New Jersey with a cushion-cut diamond ring that Kevin himself helped design." She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row," Kevin said. Danielle, 22, is still reeling from the proposal!! "It still feels like a dream," she said. How Sweet! So Congrats to you Kevin and best wishes to you and your bride to be. = )

The Day The Universe Stood Still

let me first begin by saying how much my heart is broken. I was raised on the music that was Michael Jackson. He has had a profound influence on my life along with Jimi Hendrix, Prince, and so many other great artists in music. I along with many other devoted fans have always aspired to be like him and blasted his music in my house and danced around like i knew what I was doing lol but his music seems to have a strange power over people, from young children to grown adults.

His energy on stage was almost divine and so magnetic, it pulled you in with the every dance step he took and he looked as if he was glowing. I first came to know of him when I was 4 years old, watching the smooth criminal movie and from that moment on I was hooked! He has made some of the most entertaining music and music movies and has greatly influnced many young artists over the years and his music is the most saught after for sampling.

I have so much respect for this man and love him with all my heart as many do. I first found about his passing when i was at my friend Champagnes house and when she told me, my heart dropped and i was in shock. Reports were swirling around that he was dead but i refused to believe it until she confirmed it online from TMZ news. Then I began to cry and shake. Even now typing this i am still in shock and can't believe it. But to me he will always live on Forever...

Why?

According to reports I have read, singer Cassie Ventura (known to the public as just "Cassie") decided to shave half her hair off because she wanted to be more rock star -ish. If you ask me she didn't have to shave half her hair off to prove her rock and roll exterior but rather done as Rihanna did and cut it short and dyed it a really cool color, that sets herself apart from her peers, and dressed a bit different. In Rihanna's case it really worked for her and we as the public really get to see her for who she really is now, and it's great. With all this being said, I anticipate what her new alblum is going to sound like. Will it pick up where her "me and u" hit sigle left off, or will it take on more of a different tune?

Marion Cotillard in: Dior... I loved this dress! so plain and classy yet very sexy and fresh
Katy Perry in: Tommy Hilfiger.. I loved the color of this dress and the cuff that she is wearing pulls the whole piece together very nicely
Kate Hudson, Stella McCartney,Liv Tyler and Kate Bosworth all in: Custom Stella McCartney...All these pieces were really great i especially loved Stellas piece the pattern is really unique and sort of art deco
Kate Bekinsale in: Marchesa...loved the feather train

The Beautiful Iman in: Custom Donna Karan..simply effortless..she will never age.
Tyra Banks in: a Badgley Mischka Couture metallic black strapless fishtail gown..Love The dress on her, hate the hair, she should have put it in a nice either parted or slicked straight back bun.
The Cool and Quirky Anne Hathaway in: Marc Jacobs.. I loved the color of this dress, but thought the hair was too overpowering. I love the shoes
One Of My Favorite Models Liya Kebede in: Derek Lam...very retro and has a new age fresh feel to it, the shoes are awesome.
Marc Jacobs With his Muse Model Kate Moss in: Marc Jacobs..She looks fantastic here..her turban reminds me of the 1930's flapper era..you know I think that they would make a nice couple if he wasn't gay.
Madonna (in Louis Vuitton) The Queen of Reinvention failed at her attempt to create whatever she was trying to create..I love you so much Madonna and love love your music but You could have done better..maybe she got lost in translation?
